Our Lights are made based on an old magical art form called lithophanes. Lithophanes date back to the late 1800’s, found both in France and China. Lithophane is originally a porcelain engraving that comes alive when illuminated from behind. Today, we create these pieces using modern, long lasting materials to give this unique effect.
You can even find us in the Lithophane book by Margaret Carney.
